The person credited with this Unit Standard will have a good understanding of the relevant business processes and underlying theoretical knowledge of the appropriate Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) functional area and be able to relate it to the business practice of a client.

  • Explaining the underlying principles and theory that underpin a functional area.
  • Explaining the best-practice business process associated with an ERP functional area.
  • Comparing the client's business processes with best-practice business processes.
  • Drawing a basic business process flow.

115402 – Problem Analysis in Consulting Projects

The person credited with this Unit Standard is able to analyse a problem for a consulting project and determine a suitable remedial action.

  • Obtaining a clear, accurate understanding of a specific problem affecting a client's business, organisation or project.
  • Assessing the symptoms of the problems identified.
  • Identifying the core source of the problem(s).
  • Identifying all possible ways of eliminating the problem.
  • Applying a suitable consulting model to the task of selecting the appropriate solution.

A person credited with this Unit Standard is able to demonstrate an understanding of diversity among people and in particular in a specific workforce, the role and importance played by managing change in attitudes, and the attributes of a good change agent in South Africa.
