On a frosty Northern Cape morning, we flung our doors wide and the town poured in, mugs steaming and curiosity high. Three Portals awaited: Learnership, Community (with our Justice Centre powered by PH Attorneys) and Student, each a gateway to fresh prospects. Community members collected their Adventure Stamp Cards and set out to collect eight stamps, earn prizes and write the first chapter of their new story.
Cinnamon pancakes, bottomless coffee and local playlists banished the Kathu cold. The vibe felt more like a Saturday market!
Kathu’s people showed grit. Despite breath‑clouding cold, over 400 adults queued for free pancakes and filter coffee before diving into taster sessions. A total of 301 people signed up instantly for micro‑courses in Time Management, Foundations of Teamwork, Conflict Management and the crowd‑pulling Introduction to AI. By dusk our printers had churned out 277 certificates, proof that momentum beats winter chill.
The chatter stretched beyond course content. Mine managers explored future talent pipelines, parents compared pathways for their teens, and job‑seekers traded digital‑skills hacks for stronger CVs.
Eight checkpoints turned wandering into a quest: register, attend a demo, visit the Justice Booth, follow our socials, capture a selfie and more. Completed cards dropped into a raffle for Bluetooth headphones, eco bottles and mobile‑data vouchers.
